Rocky Mountain National Park
Home to elk, bighorn sheep, and mountain lions, Rocky Mountain National Park has more than one hundred mountains higher than ten thousand feet. Author Doreen Gonzales, who has visited the park many times, explores its geology, the Continental Divide runs through the park, as well as its history and ecology. People who were influential in settling near and establishing the park are mentioned in appropriate places. The valuable work done through the U. S. Forest Service and by park rangers is honored.
